RCSHOST is proud to announce the
addition of a fully automated e-mail
anti-virus protection system for our customers.
This powerful scanning system has the ability to
detect all known viruses including plain text
attachments and HTML messages. Detection and
installation of the software is done on our email
server and is a protective layer in front of your
e-mail box. Simply by having your domain and
e-mail hosted by RCSHOST, your e-mail is
safely scanned for any viruses before you receive it on
your computer. The infected e-mail and/or attachment is
automatically deleted. If a virus is found on an
e-mail, the sender and receiver will each be sent an
automatic e-mail notification saying a virus was found
and deleted.
Our E-mail scanner service is not designed to remove
viruses already on your computer. This service simply
intervenes and stops viruses from being transmitted by e-mail.
This protects you from receiving a virus through e-mail
and protects people you may unknowingly send a virus to
through e-mail.

If you have an anti-virus program on your computer
or network already, this service provides three
advantages over that anti-virus software.
- The first advantage is that the software and
programs are updated daily and more often if an
outbreak occurs and if variants need to be dealt
with.
- The second advantage is that all the scanning and
inoculating is done on our computers, protecting you
from e-mail viruses before they get to you.
- The third advantage is that the person who sent
the e-mail, as well as yourself, will receive an
automatic e-mail notification.
No anti-virus software is 100% effective, but this does offer the best protection available against
e-mail viruses.
